New Online Competition: The first-ever World Online Piping & Drumming Championships

I'm excited to announce our newest and biggest online competition ever. The first-ever World Online Piping & Drumming Championships features events in these categories:

• solo piping
• solo side drumming
• solo tenor drumming
• solo bass drumming
• pipe bands
• drum fanfare

We will continue our P/M Alasdair Gillies Memorial Challenge Scholarship event and we've added our first-of-its-kind Make A Difference Prize which gives every competitor the chance to win big for his or her charity.

We're pleased to once again have world-class judges from around the world, who will write a detailed sheet of comments for every competitor in each event.

In addition to the individual event winners, and overall winners in each category, we'll be announcing special awards to groups of competitors with the most combined overall points, including:

• Pipe Band (or Team) with Most Points in Band and Solo Events
• Piping or Pipe Band Association with Most Points in Band and Solo Events
• Country with Most Points in Band and Solo Events
• Best Dress & Deportment
• Best Video Background
• Best Soloist or Band competing in service member uniform (military, police, fire, civil service, etc.)
• Best School Pipe Band competing in school band uniform
• Best Junior Pipe Band (all members must be age 18 or younger)
